I recently got an anchor tattoo on my left arm relating to Jesus being my anchor.

Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil.

For my 66th birthday, I got my second tattoo relating to God being my rock and had a rock mountain drawn with scripture.

Psalms 18:31 For who is God, but the LORD?
And who is a rock, except our God?

You may ask why?

I don’t want to end life being safe and comfortable all the time. As I see it, you can go out guns blazing in your walk with God, and try to start conversations with people you might never be able to reach if you didn’t do something a little wild. This seemed a wise choice, as downhill skiing is now out of the question.

When I got saved, I was willing to do things that stretched my trust to the limits, and I discovered God was still with me. I want to stretch myself still, even if God does not ask me for it. I guess it’s the non-conformist in my nature.
